Skin Cancer Screenings

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE A DOCTOR
TO KNOW THE IMPORTANCE OF EARLY DETECTION.
Who’s at risk? I’m a doctor, but just like you, I’m also at risk for developing skin cancer. It accounts for nearly half of cancer cases in the U.S. Even more surprising, over 90% of all incidents of skin cancer can be prevented if simple measures are taken.
Protect yourself. Despite being so preventable, the number of cases is steadily rising. But you don’t have to be part of the trend. Stop skin cancer before it starts. Limit long-term sun exposure, use a sunscreen of at least 15 SPF and always wear protective clothing when outdoors. Get regular skin screenings. Keep an eye on your skin and schedule annual screenings. Even melanoma, the most deadly type of skin cancer, is almost always curable with early detection. Skin cancer can ruin your day in the sun, not to mention your life.
