Visitor restrictions lifted at Goshen General Hospital
Jan. 20, 2010
GOSHEN, Ind. - Effective Immediately, Goshen General Hospital has lifted the visitor restrictions put in place in October in response to the H1N1 flu concern.
Designed to protect medically compromised patients and visiting children from being infected with the H1N1 virus, restrictions had been in place for about three months that said no visitor younger than 18 could not enter the hospital, unless the child was a patient.
With the restrictions lifted, children visitors are again allowed at Goshen General Hospital per the existing visitation policy.
Goshen Health System officials will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the visitation policy as necessary. In the event that flu activity begins to increase, visitor restrictions may be re-implemented and the public will be notified.
