5th Annual Cancer Update
GOSHEN, Ind. - Goshen Center for Cancer Care is offering its 5th Annual Cancer Update for the non Oncologist, a valuable resource in learning about the latest advances in cancer care, on Sept. 12.
This annual event serves as an avenue between experts and those outside the oncology field, including primary care physicians, mid-level providers and nurses. Discussions during the all-day event will range from diet, lifestyle and prevention to the latest screening, diagnostic and treatment options. It's an excellent opportunity to hear from those who are leading the fight against cancer.
After the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to discuss approved protocols for screening and diagnosing cancer, asses the clinical relevance and efficacy of existing and new approaches to surgical and medical treatment of cancer; and summarize the pain management and other palliative cares for patients with cancer.
The Cancer Update will last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 12 in the Arbor Conference Room of Goshen General Hospital, 200 High Park Ave., Goshen IN. For online registration, visit www.goshencancer.org. For more information, call 574-535-2753. Indiana University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 4.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).™
