Volunteer Director of GGH Receives Excellence Award From ISDVS
Goshen, Ind. – Karla Beasley, Director of Volunteer Services was awarded the Volunteer Service Award For Excellence from the Indiana Society of Directors of Volunteer Services (ISDVS) for her contributions to the hospital and community. Among her contributions are her services on the state board for three years, the development of the new student mentoring and shadowing programs and most recently she lectured about trends in volunteerism to an entrepreneurs class at Goshen College.
“Everyone who is a member of ISDVS deserves the award for contributions to their volunteer programs. It was humbling to be the recipient of such an award,” said Beasley.
She is highly respected by the 300 active volunteers at GHS and was nominated for the award by her colleagues who wrote letters about the impact she has had on the organization.
