Marcia Prenguber, ND, FABNO, is a board-certified naturopathic oncologist and Director of Integrative Care at Goshen Center for Cancer Care. A leader in her field, Dr. Prenguber is one of a limited number of naturopathic physicians to accomplish the designation of a distinguished Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, which recognizes the highest level of expertise in this holistic treatment approach. Dr. Prenguber received her doctorate in natural medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Ore., a Master of Science in education administration from California State University, Fullerton, Calif., and a Master of Science in education from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md.

As Director of Integrative Care, Dr. Prenguber works closely with medical, surgical and radiation oncologists to develop and implement cancer treatment programs that integrate noninvasive, natural therapies with conventional treatment to achieve overall health and wellness. Under the guidance of Dr. Prenguber, Goshen is one of the few facilities in the region to offer naturopathic medicine. In fact, this passionate and committed physician played an integral role in Goshen Center for Cancer Care receiving the national HOPE Award for Integration of Care by Hematology & Oncology News & Issues magazine.

Dr. Prenguber's published work focuses on natural therapeutics in cancer care. She has lectured on a variety of topics, in addition to cancer treatment, including women's health, botanical medicine, menopause and integrative medicine. In addition, she was named the 2008 Naturopathic Physician of the Year by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians for exhibiting excellence in leadership, ethics, individual achievement and advancement of the naturopathic community. An inspiration to her profession, Dr. Prenguber helps her patients understand what they can do to participate in their own healthcare program and teaches them new skills to do so.
